The Wanaka Community Hub was opened in November 2019. This Hub is real first for Wanaka and currently has over 20 social services and agencies using the building as a home for its services.
All residents of the Upper Clutha can access the building for many different community events, services, functions and offerings. This wonderfully light and modern architecturally designed building offers offices, meeting rooms, an auditorium and commercial kitchen to charities, community groups and clubs and local businesses. Since opening the Hub has become a key asset for the town’s residents.
Over the last two years the Wanaka Community Hub Charitable Trust has raised over $3.1 million towards the build of the Hub. The shortfall of just under $1 million is still to be raised. All proceeds from the Wanaka House and Garden Tour will go towards helping reduce this debt.
