About Us
The Wanaka Community Hub together with Aspiring Rotary, is embarking on its biggest event yet – a large scale two day Wanaka House and Garden Tour being held during the weekend of November 14th and 15th 2020.
We invite you to join us for this spectacular weekend in Wanaka, visiting exquisite houses and some truly magnificent gardens- most of which have never been opened to the public before. Many of the properties being showcased have been in the same families for decades.
The theme for the weekend is the “Story of the Basin”- we have wonderful houses showcasing architectural evolvement over the years, their designs reflecting the truly wonderful surroundings and landscape that they sit in. The Tour also features some spectacular garden properties with large park gardens featuring as well as smaller, gorgeously cultivated residential gardens.
This wonderful weekend will be full of activities – we have stalls, art exhibitions, sculpture and a, not to be missed, extravagant evening Garden party at an exclusive Wanaka location (separate ticket).
The tours are self- driven and give attendees the opportunity to take in the truly spectacular scenery the region has to offer. Take a meal in one of our many, delicious eateries along the way, and also visit our Hub: a one stop shop for all your house and garden tour information.
This highly anticipated event in our beautiful town will truly be a weekend to remember. Tickets will be strictly limited and we expect to sell out very quickly- interest for the event has already surpassed our expectations.

The Tour
The Wanaka House & Garden House Tour is a self-guided two days, showcasing approximately 15 houses and gardens. Tickets can be purchased on line at Humanitix.
Official tickets which include a start house (selected when tickets are purchased), house addresses, maps and important tour information can be collected at registration at the Wanaka Community Hub on Friday 13th November evening between 4-6pm or Saturday 14th November 8.30-10am.
The houses may be viewed in any order you like, but tour-goers must start at the house allocated to them on the official ticket to avoid congestion at houses.
The Hub
The Wanaka Community Hub will be open both days. The Hub is a space where tour-goers can enjoy food, refreshments, enter amazing competitions, look through supporters stalls and find plenty of ways to support the Wanaka Community Hub. More details about what’s on at the Hub will be found at registration.
